The registered German Alpine Club (Bielefeld Section) offers rest, comfort and a feast of food at its hut at the foot of the Acherkogel (3,008 m.). A visit to the Bielefeld Hut is a "must" for every walker. There are magnificent views of the Tyrolean mountains, easy to reach within half an hour from the upper station. If it is fine, Tuesday is fun day at the hut with live music from 12 noon to 4.30 p.m.

A combination card for ascent with the Acherkogel cable car and descent from the refreshment stop to Oetz with the taxi at 2 pm or 4:30 pm. Can be easily reached in summer via the Rotes Wandl or the Acherberg Alp. Relax on the sun terrace and enjoy the magnificent view of the surrounding peaks of the Oetz valley. Hot meals and fresh alpine milk and buttermilk are always available.

The alp with its own dairy and panoramic views, easily reached via the forest trail in about 30 minutes. Home made butter and cheese. Hot meals throughout the day. Walk from here to the old halfway station in about 35 minutes. Then take a taxi back to Oetz (combination card).
